It is one of the most frequented spots by Venetians. The goal of the Ruga Rialto is to serve its customers authentic traditional dishes in a simple and informal setting, as you would find in a typical Venetian home.

Here, good wine, or rather a good “ombra” (small glass of wine), is always accompanied by the famous “cicchetti”, tasty meatballs, croquettes, or a good mixed plate of fried fish and potatoes, and of course traditional Venetian dishes. Additionally, it’s possible to eat raw fish by reservation.

Located in the privileged position of the Ruga Rialto, at the foot of the Rialto Bridge, it is well-known for being a non-touristic spot, frequented by connoisseurs and locals, and maintains its reputation as the most beloved tavern among Venetians.

In its spacious rooms and dining areas, you can enjoy a wide variety of cicchetti (small plates of food) prepared fresh every morning, including meatballs, fish croquettes, fried olives, and even vegetarian options. You can also have lunch or dinner, reservations are recommended. You will find typical dishes of Venetian cuisine such as sarde in saor, bigoli with sardines, spaghetti with cappe, spaghetti with black squid ink, liver in Venetian style and other daily proposals.
